Toronto Campus Takes to the Field

On January 17th, over 20 Eurocentres Toronto students signed up to play indoor soccer while more than 20 other students turned up as spectators to cheer on their friends and classmates. Prior to the match, rival students showed off their ball skills, trying to intimidate their opponents.

The two teams were captained by Yuta from Japan and Dogu from Turkey. Ygor, from Brazil, was clearly the game’s most valuable player, having scored two goals for Team Yuta.

Even though it was an intense game, the students had a lot of fun, laughing and discussing the highlights of the game and talking about the highlights of the match.

Kai, our resident Eurocentres Toronto videographer, captured this game and others which you can see on our over-sized television in the reception.

On the subway ride back, one of the students, Seiya, mentioned that he enjoyed the event because he made new friends. We like to think that’s our goal when it comes to social activities.

We expect to see you for the next Soccer match. It is a good way to beat the winter blues!
