Gelato2 Jail1 Jail4

In May, our students explored the park, restaurants and jail in San Diego’s famous Seaport Village. We introduced them to the All-American game of wiffle ball, perfect for a sunny San Diego day in the park. After that bit of exercise, they rewarded themselves with gelato at Gelato Paradiso, one of San Diego’s many examples of Italian influence in the city. Then, they learned about the old San Diego jail, called The Headquarters, which is now open for the public to view in Seaport Village. They got to travel the halls, and even got locked in one of the cells…better do their homework next time!
