Student of the Month – Toronto

Oscar and his friends

Excellence and perseverance are two descriptors that are to be recognized. Recently, Oxford International/Eurocentres Toronto had the pleasure of awarding Oscar Alexis Munita Aranda Student of the Month. Like other students who have been nominated and voted for by teachers and staff, Oscar is a diligent, incredibly hard-working student, both at school and at home.

Interested in long distance cycling (and ping pong during class breaks), Oscar has a background in accounting spanning 15 years. Deciding it was time for a change, he elected to come to Canada to study English and pursue a career in Fire Safety.

Now one of our Pathway Program students, Oscar’s presence and focus is an inspiration to other students who see the positive results of his determination. Oscar has used the personalized feedback given by his teachers to reinforce his strengths, and improve upon weaker areas in his language development.

When speaking to Oscar, it is clear that he is extremely humble, admitting he was surprised to receive the Student of the Month award. He acknowledges that Oxford International/Eurocentres Toronto has helped him, saying that it is a unique opportunity for those wishing to improve their English in an immersive environment.

We at Oxford International/Eurocentres Toronto wish Oscar the very best in his future studies and career, and have no doubt his work ethic and discipline will reward him with success. And he is welcome back anytime to participate in our monthly ping pong tournaments.
