Students Go Head to Head in the Toronto Campus Ping Pong Tournament

Eurocentres Toronto is not only about excellent classes. Ping pong is very popular amongst Eurocentres Toronto students! Every day during breaks and after school, students come together and play the sport, even if it is only for 10 minutes! That’s why on Friday, October 20th, students from many nationalities participated in our Eurocentres Toronto Ping Pong Tournament.

Dozens of students, both ladies and gentlemen signed up for the tournament, and many others stayed to watch the competition and cheer for friends. Some students even volunteered to be time-keeper and score-keeper. After a very competitive first round, we were off to the semi-finals, where the challenge became harder by having students win two out of three matches. In the finals it was Italy versus Japan. The match between Silvano and Takahiro had the audience captivated. It was tense, fierce, and competitive. In the end, but not easily, Silvano emerged victorious. Both competitors received a prize in recognition of their performance.

Everyone enjoyed the tournament and we are already looking forward to the next one. Come and take part! We will have a ladies and men’s competition and perhaps even a doubles competition.

Our next Eurocentres Toronto in-house activity will be pumpkin carving. We are looking forward to seeing the creativity of our students when it comes to making the jack-o-lanterns in time for Halloween! Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
