Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Campus Tour

TRU Campus Tour
Bus trip to TRU
On the way to Kamloops

A group of students from Oxford International Vancouver visited the campus of one of our Pathway Program partners, Thompson Rivers University (TRU), on October 25th, 2019. The students were impressed by the beauty of British Columbia. It started snowing on the way to Kamloops, so some students saw snow for the first time in their life. It was an unforgettable experience! The weather in Kamloops itself, however, was wonderful; it was very warm with no snowfall.

Upon arrival, TRU representatives met students on campus and gave them an engaging and inspiring presentation about the University. Students learned that international enrolment now exceeds 3,000 students from 90 nations worldwide at TRU. Also, the University provides a wide variety of academic programs.

Our Pathway students are eligible to enter TRU after completing Level 7 during their program at Oxford International. This is instead of IELTS and for all undergraduate programs at TRU.

International students are eligible to work part-time off-campus a (not more than 20 hours per week), while taking full-time academic courses at TRU, and full-time during summer, spring and winter breaks.

The students immensely enjoyed the TRU Campus Tour. The campus is centrally located in Kamloops. The University’s campus offers a variety of cafes and coffee shops, as well as a sushi restaurant.
